Kaş is a small, laid-back town on Türkiye's Turquoise Coast, loved for its clear sea, Lycian history and easygoing pace. Whether you have a single day or a whole week, here are the best things to do in and around Kaş — starting, of course, on the water.
Take a Kekova sunken city boat trip

The number-one thing to do in Kaş is a day boat trip to Kekova, where you cruise over a Lycian city that slipped beneath the sea after ancient earthquakes. The classic route takes in the sunken ruins along Kekova Island, the castle village of Simena (Kaleköy) and several turquoise swimming bays.
Most trips leave Kaş harbour around 10:00 and return late afternoon, with lunch and swim stops on board. For the same route in peace and golden light, a private sunrise charter is hard to beat.
Swim at Kaputaş Beach and the bays
Kaputaş is one of Türkiye's most photographed beaches — a strip of pale sand at the foot of a gorge, about 20 minutes from Kaş on the road to Kalkan. Arrive early in summer, as it fills up fast.
If you prefer fewer people, the bays right around Kaş — reached on a half-day boat tour — offer the same glowing water with room to breathe.
Try paragliding, diving and sea kayaking

Kaş is one of the Mediterranean's best diving bases, with clear water, walls, caves and a few wrecks suitable for beginners and pros alike. Above the water, tandem paragliding gives a bird's-eye view of the coast.
Sea kayaking over the Kekova sunken city is another favourite — paddling above the ruins in glassy shallows is unforgettable.
Take a day trip to Saklıkent Gorge
When you want a break from the sea, Saklıkent Gorge is a dramatic 18 km canyon where you can wade through cold mountain water between towering walls. It pairs well with the nearby ruins of Tlos and a village breakfast.
It's an easy day trip from Kaş and a refreshing contrast to the coast, especially in high summer.
